Bourbon Heritage Month at Zaca Creek

Join us the weekends of Sept. 17th-18th and 24th-25th as we taste through a series of fantastic bourbons and indulge in what makes it our national spirit.

Friday September 17th: Tasting Seminar hosted by Maker’s Mark, delving into the intricate process that evolved into our very own Private Selection Stave-finished Bourbon, followed by an intimate dinner inside The Tavern.

Saturday September 18th: Celebrate around our eco-lagoon at The Falls, accompanied by a country bluegrass band on the grass and an opportunity to taste through the many aspects of Maker’s Mark, including specialty Cask Strengths and Stave Finishes. Cocktail hour is first, allowing for an opportune chance to converse and gain some one-on-one knowledge with other experts and fledgling enthusiasts alike.

Friday September 24th: Yet another tasting seminar inside The Tavern, this time built around the Small Batch collections of Jim Beam. Journey through the complexities of each Bourbon and how they build upon others while maintaining their own distinct qualities, followed by a coursed-meal built around the Kentucky roots of the Jim Beam portfolio.

Saturday September 25th: Once again, embrace the distinctiveness of Jim Beam with a venture into their Small Batch Collections, including Knob Creek, Baker’s and a possible appearance by a Booker’s or two. Bluegrass will again be played throughout the evening. with a cocktail hour commencing first and followed by a free-flowing evening full of conversation and a laidback educational experience.
