An Illustrated History of Santa Barbara & Ultimate Coloring Book
John Rogers Battistone
Chaucer’s Books is pleased to welcome John Roger Battistone to share and sign copies of his new book entitled, An Illustrated History of Santa Barbara & Ultimate Coloring Book, edited and illustrated by Michael Mould.
The book is described as a “… collaborative and dedicated effort to bringing recognition of the historic events, places and individuals that contributed to the progressive growth of a quiet to somewhat unassuming Spanish pueblo into the vibrant and diverse community Santa Barbara is today.”
An entirely interactive history of Santa Barbara California, profusely illustrated with maps and historical figures and sites. Some pages can be colored by hand. John Roger Battistone and his family traveled throughout the world studying culture and architecture. As an avid collector of restored automobiles, old radios and coloring books, the dream began to one day develop a coloring book of Santa Barbara. Once Battistone met illustrator, artist and writer, Michael Mould and his wife, Vivian, the dream began to materialize. In Battistone’s words, “Come with us on this journey, as we delicately pull back obscured layers of tales and time, providing a portal to the noble heritage of Santa Barbara… We offer this tome as a heartfelt tribute to Santa Barbara in her celebrated history
