Margerum Wines Company and Chaucer’s Book are delighted to welcome and host Alex Prud’homme for a book signing event.
Enjoy a delicious evening in the Margerum Tasting Room, as Alex discusses and signs his two books written about his great-aunt, Julia Child– France is a Feast and The French Chef in America: Julia Child’s Second Act. This event is a part of a larger celebration of Julia by the Culinary Institute celebrating her birthday week. She was a resident of Montecito, and died in 2004 at the age 0f 92.
Alex Prud’homme is a freelance writer based in New York City. He has written on everything from food to biotech, terrorism, energy, the environment, art, and monster trucks for the New York Times, the New Yorker, Vanity Fair, and Time. He has published seven books, most notably coauthoring Julia Child’s memoir, My Life in France, a best-seller that inspired half the movie Julie & Julia, and writing a follow-up called The French Chef in America: Julia Child’s Second Act.
