Arts & Cultural Festival 2022

Our 6th Annual Festival (minus Covid)
Saturday, September 17th 12:00 – 2:00 pm
Performances – On the Beach at Linden Avenue – beach chairs welcome
Tibetan Lama Rinpoche Thepo Tulku speaking on Impermanence, Aztec Danza, Danza Matachines, Chinelos, Folklorico, African, Bhutanese & more speaking on their cultural dances and performing. County Supervisor Das Williams will also speak.
2:00 – 4:00 pm – Chalk Artists & Tibetan Sand Mandala
Viewing of 6 Chalk Artists at Seal Fountain on Linden Ave & Tibetan Sand Mandala being created by Monks at the Lynda Fairly Carpinteria Arts Center.
Sunday, September 18th Closing Ceremony 3:00 pm, Lynda Fairly Carpinteria Arts Center
Tibetan Monks will clear the Mandala then walk to the beach and put into the ocean. Attendees are invited to follow the Monks to the beach and participate in their dedications as they scatter the sand from the Mandala into the ocean. They believe the sand will reach all of the world as does the ocean.
