ART at the MISSION CLUB

A group of independent artists from Lompoc and Santa Ynez debuts at a unique venue for their work in “Art at the Mission Club,” a one day event on Saturday, May 28, 10:00 – 4:00 pm. Located in the Mission Club Restaurant, the show will feature stunning artwork in a variety of media, to be enjoyed in a beautiful setting while partaking in light refreshments. All artwork is available for purchase.

The artists were brought together by plein-air pastel painter Deborah Breedon, who resides next to the glorious chaparral and oaks of the local landscape. The Mission Club venue offers these same views, with its expansive windows and plenty of space to display art.

Two and three-dimensional work will be well represented. Thirteen artists will display pieces in ceramics, wood, sculpted gourd and fused glass, along with a showing of photography, watercolor, pastel, acrylic and oil painting.

The participating artists want to bring awareness to the depth and quality of artists practicing in the valley. Although several of the artists exhibit regularly at other county venues, viewers will be in for some surprises.

Show organizer Deborah Breedon has said, “I believe creativity exists inside us all. Exploring our creative side is a part of the search for who we are.” Join with us in that search, while enjoying good company, fare, and a beautiful venue. The public is invited.
