On Nov. 18 at 4:00 p.m. Santa Barbara City College’s Atkinson Gallery will host an Artist Talk by Amanda Ross-Ho via Zoom.
Living and working in Los Angeles, Ross-Ho aims to, in her words, “investigate the anatomy and life cycle of creative production.” She appropriates images and ephemera that she encounters to construct installations, stage photographs and build sculptures that show points of coincidence or intersection, where everyday experiences are transformed into sites of layered meaning. Her sculpture, painting, photography, installation, and most recently, public works, have been exhibited nationally and internationally.
She is currently an Associate Professor of Sculpture at the University of California, Irvine.
