A Tribute to the Music of Joni Mitchell and Herbie Hancock

Honoring the music of Herbie Hancock and Joni Mitchell, The Kim Richmond/Kimberly Ford Band will appear live in concert at SOhO Sunday, July 21 from 1 to 4pm.

Brought to you by The Santa Barbara Jazz Society, The KIM & KIM Band intertwines the artistry of these two luminaries with original arrangements of their songs. New arrangements of both Joni’s and Herbie’s compositions on many selections are presented as one.

A seasoned expert in Joni Michell’s repertoire, Kimberly Ford performs faithful renditions of Joni’s songs and also can be heard on the instrumental sections of the arrangements, all written by Kim Richmond who is an excellent musician well as a composer/arranger and educator. The band includes guitarist Will Brahm, Kim Richmond on saxophones, pianist Adam Hersh, bassist Cooper Appeit, and Kevin Vandenelzen on drums.

You can renew your SBJS membership at the door for 2019 the day of the concert or online on our website. Admission to the event is $15 for members, $25 for non-members, $5 for full-time students, and $7 for local jazz musicians with membership. Tickets are available ONLY at the door and doors open at 12:30pm. Seating is limited and members and are admitted first, so plan to arrive early. Please join us for an afternoon of exciting jazz.
