Soul Bites
On Saturday, November 9, the Santa Barbara Black Culture House returns for a special Fall music concert, “A Funky Fall Soulful Gathering,” in downtown Santa Barbara, CA. Culture House, a pop-up Black cultural events space, brings back L.A.-based jazz funk trio, The Funky Neighbors, to perform at Soul Bites Restaurant, 423 State Street. This event is open to all members of the community and are FREE. Soul Bites opens at noon and “Soulful Gathering” starts at 1PM.
The Funky Neighbors are a popular group based in the Los Angeles area, featuring bassist Stevie Martin, keyboardist Damon Wilson, and drummer Terrence Huggins. This will be The Neighbors’ second appearance with Culture House. As a group, as individuals, and in other groups, the band is a fixture on the SoCal music scene.
“A Funky Fall Soulful Gathering” will be hosted at Soul Bites Restaurant, at 423 State Street. Doors open at noon, events begin at 1pm. Santa Barbara Black Culture House is sponsored by the Black Rock Coalition and made possible by a Towbes Fund For The Performing Arts grant through The Santa Barbara Foundation.
