90’s Tribute at Cold Spring Tavern: Flannel 101

90’s music is having quite a comeback as we head into the 25-year anniversaries of the top selling albums of that great decade of alternative rock. Flannel 101 pays tribute to Nirvana, Green Day, Pearl Jam, Sublime, No Doubt, Oasis, Chili Peppers, Alanis Morissette, and all those great one-hit wonders too!  (Of course, for the family-friendly audience, they stay away from the bad words and only play the fun, up-tempo songs everyone enjoys). 

“Flannel 101” is the brainchild of bassist Rob Cantrell who also founded the Tri- County’s premiere 80’s Tribute Band, “The Molly Ringwald Project.”  Rob handpicked the members of Flannel 101 not only for their ability to accurately replicate the iconic riffs of the 90’s, but for their authentic connection to the music. Flannel 101 members were pursuing their music careers as teenagers and young adults in the 90’s — several of them signed to labels and winning songwriting and indie awards “back in the day.” The band’s performances have been described as exciting not only for the intense nostalgia they create, but for their ability to capture the angst, passion and energy of this great decade of music. They were there THEN and bring it all back to their audiences NOW!
