The opening concert for an acoustic music series for and by local musicians entitled 4xSB will present The Idiomatiques with Nightbirds opening on Saturday, September 7.

Join the fun with The Idiomatiques new CD “Indigo Nocturne” release party!  They have captivated audiences throughout the past decade with their eclectic musical influences, encompassing rock, R&B, Latin, bossa nova, and traditional and modern jazz, yet their music remains firmly rooted in the style of Django Reinhardt.

The members have performed with notable Gypsy Jazz musicians and their versatile talents extend beyond the Gypsy Jazz realm: Ray Bergstrom (Guitar-Vocals), Kim Collins (Bass-Vocals), Frank Petrilli (Accordion), and Craig Sharmat (Guitar-Vocals).

“The Idiomatiques is a guarantee for a great night out … Their musicianship is top notch. Their passion and pure enjoyment is evident in their performance and arrangements. A joy to listen to.”

United originally by their California roots and love for folk music, Nightbirds – vocalist Jade Hendrix, accordionist Samantha Harvey, and mandolin phenomenon Ashley Hoyer emerged out of the shared experience of newfound motherhood, when powerful new chapters in their lives called for a deeper well of expression. The band’s collective sound is poignant, yet it evokes a sense of innocence, a quality inspired by the presence of their children.

Upcoming concerts are Tom Ball & Kenny Sultan with their good time blues on October 12, with the Elderberries opening, and Leokane Pryor and Kimo West will bring the serene sounds of slack key with hula dancers on November 2, with John Lyle opening.

Join us for great music, food, drink, and friends with the party starting at 6pm and music at 7pm. Tickets for reserved seating are $25 and limited to 96 seats.  General admission tickets are $20. To purchase tickets visit www.sbcaw/upcoming.
