2025 Lunar New Year Family Festival

Free activities, performances, snacks, prizes, and Chinese books for all families big and small! 

Join the Santa Barbara Chinese School (SBCS) and the Santa Barbara Public Library for a vibrant celebration of the Lunar New Year! Enjoy fun activities like lantern making, paper cutting, calligraphy, shadow puppets, and more—followed by performances by the children of our community. 带上您的亲朋好友与圣塔芭芭拉中文学校和中央图书馆一起欢庆农历新年吧！我们的庆祝活动丰富多彩，包括灯笼制作、剪纸艺术、书法体验、皮影戏等趣味项目，更有孩子们带来的精彩表演为大家助兴。

Tentative Schedule:

• 1:00–2:00 pm: Activities, games, Chinese book exchange, and Library scavenger hunt. 春节文化体验、趣味游戏、中文书籍交换，及图书馆寻宝游戏。
• 2:00–2:30 pm: Performances featuring SB Chinese School students, families from Sing & Storytime w/ Miss Chloe, UCSB’s Jasmine Echo Chinese Folk Band, SUNS Performing Arts, and Chinese Evangelical Free Church Choir. 圣塔芭芭拉中文学校学生、Chloe老师歌唱/故事小组、UCSB的茉音民乐团、SUNS 舞蹈学院，及圣塔芭芭拉华人播道会唱诗班倾情演出，给您奉上视听盛宴！
• 2:30–4:00 pm: Lunar New Year Food Tasting featuring Uniboil & Phresh Teas, Su’s Bowl, Kaiju, Shanghai Restaurant, and Pokéwaves. Try your hand at Dragon Dancing, check out what KAAREM and Nu Best have to offer, and continue to collect prizes as you complete our activities! 煮道、苏大碗、上海餐馆、Pokéwaves，Kaiju等赞助商邀您品尝美食！您可以亲自试一试舞龙，瞧瞧KAAREM, Nu Best等镇上亚洲商家的展品，或者继续参加活动，领取奖品！
• Enjoy a rare exhibit of Chinese Americans in Santa Barbara, brought to you by the Department of Asian American Studies at UCSB and the Santa Barbara Chinese American Association. UCSB亚裔美国人研究系及圣塔芭芭拉华美协会联合呈现的珍贵展览，带您了解圣塔芭芭拉华裔的历史，诚邀共赏！
