Gaviota Coast Fire near Containment
Quick Work by Firefighters Stops Refugio Road Blaze Before Homes Threatened
A brushfire that broke out Saturday afternoon on the Gaviota Coast appears to already be under control. The blaze near Refugio Road, which connects a number of hillside homes from the coast to the mountaintops, approached 30 acres in size before firefighters with air tanker support knocked it down.
