County Revenues Running Higher Than Budgeted
County staff reported in the second quarter financial report that the county’s revenues were actually running one percent higher than what was budgeted. The actual activity was generally matching the budget, finance guru Jason Stilwell told the Board of Supervisors, though the recently proposed state budget looms large, with cuts to programs on the way. Information is still trickling down from the state, but the county anticipates a budget deficit of $80-$90 million for the next fiscal year.
