S.B. Superior Court Chooses New Chief Officer

Santa Barbara’s Superior Court judges have selected Darrel Parker as the new Executive Officer of the Court, effective 7/1. Parker will replace Gary Blair, who stepped down from his post after 37 years as chief officer. Parker had served as Blair’s deputy for five months, and before that he had been the court’s assistant executive officer since 1999. In that role he oversaw the Michael Jackson case, having previously helped manage other high-profile cases in Los Angles, including those of Rodney King, Heidi Fleiss, and O.J. Simpson.
