In 1993, lawyer and co-founder Robert Walmsley litigated and tried Johnson v. Calvert, one of the first cases establishing surrogacy law in California. His commitment and experience continues to define surrogacy today. With nearly 40 years of combined legal experience and a commitment building families, it is SI, Inc.’s mission, says Robert, is “to provide every client with the legal assurances and personal support needed to begin building families with certainty and confidence.”
California is considered a surrogacy-friendly state and the recent California Assembly Bill 1217 has continued to improve the laws and regulations, making surrogacy arrangements even more definitive.
