Keep SBCC Trustee Sally Green!
I am writing in support of Sally Green for Santa Barbara City College Trustee Area 1 (Carpinteria).
Sally is exactly the type of person you would want to represent your district. Four years ago, Sally took out papers and ran unopposed for the Board of Trustees. She has spent the last four years representing Carpinteria specifically and the Santa Barbara community as a whole with great thoughtfulness and commitment.
Sally spent the last 10 years of her career as an educator with the Carpinteria Unified School District and is a beloved member of the Carpinteria community.
Sally is invested in Carpinteria and is actively involved in the Carpinteria Education Foundation, Girls, Inc., Carpinteria Beautiful, and Carpinteria Women’s Club. Two years ago, Girl’s Inc. honored Sally as a Woman of Inspiration; this year, the Carpinteria Education Foundation honored her. Sally supports the community generously with her time and donations.
Sally serves our community unselfishly. I encourage you to vote for Sally Green as the Carpinteria representative to the SBCC Board of Trustees.
I served SBCC for 27 years retiring as Dean, Educational Programs in 2007. And while I believe that the current Board is committed to making decisions in the best interest of the college and community, I am a resident of Carpinteria, and therefore, limit my remarks to Sally Green.
