Remember Albert Schweitzer

As coordinator of the Origami Whales Project, I wish to express my gratitude to all of the volunteers, sponsors, and community for their support of the Origami Whales Project benefit event held in Carpinteria on May 23rd.

It was truly heartwarming to see the realization of the event with such a fantastic turn out. This happened thanks to the volunteers dedicating time and many skills, local sponsors, and the community of caring people who came together to support this effort. The experience of our event Friday night so reminds me that I am so supported in my work for dolphins and whales.

Albert Schweitzer wrote: “Until we extend the circle of compassion to all living beings, we shall not find peace.” I send out my heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to our event, and to compassion and peace to all living beings and their habitats.—Peggy Oki (Origami Whales Project coordinator)
