Woman Priests

Since I, like many others, regard The Santa Barbara Independent as an infallible guide to sacred scripture, I was surprised that Nick Welsh reported that the Women Priests had Mary Magdalene called “the apostle to the apostles” in “the Gospel according to John.”

Editor’s Note: Not that John: Our error. The New Testament does not in fact refer to Mary as “apostle to the apostles.” She was called that by several Christian writers in the 11th Century as well as by Pope John Paul II in the 20th Century.
