4th Annual Law Bowl to Benefit Santa Barbara Teen Court

Do you know what the SB Legal Secretaries and the SB Women Lawyers and SB Paralegals do together for our community!! They put on a bowling tournament for kids to raise money for Teen Court. These kids have a great sober activity and are able to help support their program. Wouldn’t you like to help them?

The Law Bowl will take place at Zodo’s Bowling and Beyond, located at 5925 Calle Real in Goleta on Saturday, May 14th, 2011 from 12:00-2:30pm and will raise much needed funds to help support the Teen Court program.

Teams are made up of members of the legal, law enforcement, judicial and business communities, along with teens participating in the Teen Court Program. Bowl against each other in friendly competition for a chance at the 1st place Teen and Adult team trophies. All profits go directly to Santa Barbara Teen Court.

Santa Barbara Teen Court acts as an early intervention for first time offenders by diverting them out of the traditional juvenile justice system. Defendants avoid a criminal record while still being held accountable for their actions. All functions of Teen Court are carried out by teens and for teens and sentences include jury duty, community service, counseling, and educational classes.
