Goleta to Appeal Mobile Home Park Condoization

The City of Goleta will appeal Superior Court Judge Thomas Anderle’s recent ruling in favor of Daniel Guggenheim, who wants to convert his Rancho Mobile Homes to condo-style ownership. Anderle ruled that the city may not require an Environmental Impact Report on the proposal, which the city had wanted in order to analyze the potential loss of affordable housing. Guggenheim argued that condoization requires no environmental analysis because it is not a physical change.
