Suspect Arrested in Santa Maria
Matt Crandall, a 44-year-old Santa Maria man wanted for breaking his probation and for his possible connection to a Habitat for Humanity truck stolen earlier this month, was arrested Thursday in Santa Maria on a warrant for probation violation. Crandall was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail with no bail, according to a Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office press release. County sheriffs and the Santa Maria Police Department are still investigating Crandall’s recent thefts.
Last week, Crandall fled the scene when authorities arrested Sabrina Ceglia, 35, and Travis Grant, 32, after recovering a Habitat for Humanity truck, as well as stolen property from other local businesses, at a Palm Court address in Santa Maria.
