Reversal of Cartoon

Thoroughly enjoyed last week’s Tom Tomorrow cartoon, for two reasons. First, for the delightfully accurate renderings of a classic 1957 Chevrolet convertible, and second for the wonderful, but perhaps unintended, double entendre sans any sexual connotation: If we put President Obama in the driver’s seat, and the Tea Party activist in the passenger seat, instead of vice versa, the image of driving recklessly over a cliff is particularly appropriate. The only changes perhaps needed would to be to label the cliff “U.S. Debt & Deficit Spending,” and the driver should be complaining about paying too little in gasoline taxes rather than too much!
