Peace Corps To Host Panel on Service Opportunities for Adults
More evidence that age is no obstacle to what a person can do: Next Saturday, July 10, representatives of the United States Peace Corps will host Peace Corps for Baby Boomers, an informational meeting for adults ages 50+ interested in learning more about a unique way to serve their country on a global scale later in life. A short educational video will open the meeting, followed by a meet-and-greet and Q&A session with several visiting panelists who served as Peace Corps volunteers in their fifties and sixties. The event runs 11 a.m-12:30 p.m. at the S.B. Public Library’s Faulkner Gallery (40 E. Anapamu St.). Entrance to the meeting is free, but Baby Boomin’ attendees are asked to RSVP. Call (310) 356-1112 for more info.
