Fifth Suspect Arrested in Javier Limon Murder
Another Suspect Determined in Santa Maria Man’s Murder.
Thursday, July 23, Sheriff’s detectives arrested 21-year-old Bryan Rios of Santa Maria as the fifth suspect in Santa Maria man Javier Limon’s death. The detectives recommended that both homicide and gang allegations be filed against Rios. On August 19, 2014, farmworkers found 37-year-old Limon’s body near the Guadalupe Dunes, and he was determined to have been murdered. In September 2014, Gregorio Augustine, Arturo Granados, and Yesenia Granados were arrested for their suspected involvement in the murder. Additionally, in July 2015 the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office charged Joseph Morales, also of Santa Maria, for ordering Limon’s death from his cellphone in prison.
