Body Found on 154 Identified

Authorities have identified the body found near Highway 154 on 9/17 as that of 23-year-old Adan Cervantes Ruiz, who died from a gunshot wound, according to an autopsy performed 9/18. Santa Barbara County sheriff’s detectives have determined that the death is a homicide and believe it occurred elsewhere. Detectives believe Ruiz-a Mexican national-had ties to Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, and Riverside counties.
