This is the perfect opportunity to contribute to the many efforts necessary to keep our trails open to the public and available to future generations. Two trails were selected for this year’s event:

San Antonio Creek Trail

What: Join City Parks, County Parks, Forest Service, Mountain Bike Trail Volunteers and the Multi-Use Trails Coalition for a fun-filled afternoon maintaining one of Santa Barbara’s wonderful trails. Work includes brush clearing and tread repair.

*Lunch hosted by Santa Barbara Chicken Ranch!

When: 9AM- 2PM

Where: Sign-in at Tuckers Grove Area #1 located at Cathedral Oaks/Turnpike

Midland Ranch Trail

What: Santa Barbara Trails Council, Los Padres Forest Association, SB County Outdoor Foundation and Midland School are joining together to help complete brushing and tread work so the public may enjoy the trails this spring and summer.

*BBQ lunch provided!

When: 8:30AM- 4PM

Where: Tools and instruction will be provided at the trail head located at the base of Figueroa Mountain Road 6.7 miles from Highway 154. There is a large parking area on the right side of Figueroa Mountain Road where we will be meeting.

Equipment and Clothing- Volunteers are asked to wear sturdy shoes and long pants to protect from poison oak, plus sunglasses for eye protection. Volunteers should also bring water, sunscreen, hat, and a snack. Bike helmets and gloves are helpful but will also be provided on site. All tools will be provided.
