Pacific Coast Energy Installs New Seep Cans

Two additional seep cans were recently installed at Pacific Coast Energy Company’s (PCEC) Orcutt Oil Field site. PCEC operates 96 cyclic-steaming wells and recently applied for 96 more. Since 2008, 95 seep cans have been put on that property, with 51 currently collecting oil. County officials said the number of new seeps has dropped in the last year as the company has worked with state overseers and installed a seep monitoring system.
