Hillside House Fundraiser Features International Speaker Jessica Cox
The word “disabled” is a misnomer when describing Jessica Cox. Born with no arms, Cox has the most dexterous feet on the planet and has accomplished more than most people with two arms. She’s the first person to pilot a plane with her feet and is a black-belt in Tae Kwon-Do. She plays the piano, surfs, and is an international motivational speaker. She will share her inspiring tale at Hillside House’s Sunset Soirée fundraiser, Saturday, June 4, 4:30-7 p.m., at El Mirador Estate Gardens in Montecito. Hillside House, a nonprofit residence that provides therapeutic care and learning programs for folks with developmental disabilities, has been helping people in Santa Barbara for 65 years.
