UPDATE: Dos Pueblos High shut out Santa Monica, 1-0, to advance to the CIF Division 4 softball quarterfinals. The Chargers will travel to La Habra on Thursday, May 24. Carpinteria also won its second-round game, 8-0 over Whitney, and will host Yucca Valley. Pacific Christian edged out Cate School, 6-5, in the Division 7 baseball playoffs

The Santa Barbara Breakers won their fourth West Coast Pro Basketball League championship in five years last weekend, overcoming a five-point deficit in the final quarter to defeat the Santa Monica Jump, 118-109.
