Suspected Drug Dealer Back in Jail

Just three weeks after leading authorities on a high-speed chase when detectives tried to arrest him for possession and sales of narcotics, 29-year-old Brandon Gaffke has landed himself back in jail on the same charges.

According to a press release issued by Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Drew Sugars, Gaffke posted bail a few days after his June 18 arrest, but detectives soon learned that Gaffke was allegedly still selling drugs throughout the county.

Yesterday, June 13, Sheriff’s narcotics detectives — with the assistance of city police officers — served a search warrant at Gaffke’s residence on the 1700 block of Robbins Street. There, said Sugars, authorities found a half ounce of brown powder heroin as well as a quarter ounce of meth packaged and ready to sell. The street value of the drugs was reported at around $2,000, and detectives also seized $1,600 in cash.

Four guns, including an AK-47 assault rifle, were also taken from Gaffke’s home.

Gaffke was booked into County Jail on the following charges: possession of methamphetamine for sales; possession of heroin for sales; possession of a controlled substance; possession of fireworks; possession drug paraphernalia; and committing an offense while on bail.

Also arrested in the raid was Vanessa Krohn, 37, on charges of: possession of methamphetamine for sales; possession of heroin for sales; possession of a controlled substance; possession of fireworks; possession drug paraphernalia; and failure to register as a sex offender.

Shannon Beckstead, 40, was apprehended and booked on three outstanding warrants and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Glenn Olson, 41, was also arrested on charges of: possession drug paraphernalia; being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition; and soliciting another person to purchase drugs.
