TV Replay of CCL All-Star Game to Air on July 17
Saturday the 14th was not a lucky day for the Santa Barbara Foresters, as they lost a pair of baseball games to the Los Angeles Brewers at UCSB’s Caesar Uyesaka Stadium. The visitors scored twice the 14th inning to defeat the Foresters, 3-1, in a game that had been suspended by darkness after 12 innings on Friday the 13th, with the score tied, 1-1. Then the Brewers scored a 4-2 victory, as Santa Barbara lost two in a row for the first time since early June.
The two teams will take the field again today (Sunday, July 15) at 5:10 p.m.
Santa Barbara was on the winning side of the fourth California Collegiate League All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 11, in Compton. Shortstop Richy Pedroza shared the MVP award as the Americans beat the Nationals, 6-5. The game was televised live, and a replay will be aired on Fox Prime Ticket at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 17.
The Foresters will be on the road for six straight games beginning Tuesday in San Luis Obispo, followed by a return visit to the Brewers in San Juan Capistrano.
