The lights at Hillside House are once again shining as a beacon to the Veronica Springs neighborhood, where trolley tours come to enjoy the decorated houses through the winter season. The Eighth Annual Shining Light on Abilities display is up and running for all to enjoy every night after sunset at Hillside House (1235 Veronica Springs Road) throughout the month of December.
This festive display of lights and interactive holiday decorations set up on the property continues to grow and this year’s display features more lights than ever before. In addition to the lights and decorations, the display has a slideshow featuring some of the 59 individuals living with intellectual and developmental disabilities at Hillside House. Hillside focuses on residents shining light on their abilities and sharing who they are and what they can do.
The slideshow plays continuously on a large-screen monitor in the picture window of the main Hillside building. It also expresses gratitude to sponsors, including: CenCal Health, Demboski & Chapman Financial and Insurance Solutions, Stantec, Santa Barbara Home Improvement Center, IOA Insurance Services, and David and Louise Borgatello.
