If the U.S. can officially pardon two Turkeys at Thanksgiving, why not also save the life of our nation’s Official Christmas Tree?

Also set free an Official Rabbit and an Official Chicken at Easter? Halloween and Labor Day pardons? We’ll have to think on that.
