The Ojai Pops Concert Series will present the Tuxedo Junction Jazz Band-Dixieland & Jazz this Sunday, November 3, 2024 @ 2:30pm. This will be the 6th and final free Community Concert of the season.
The 2:30 concert will feature the Tuxedo Junction Jazz Band. The band will consist of professional and semi-professional musicians with Freda Ramey on vocals. Milo Miller, a 14-year-old student, will perform with the ensemble on saxophone. Tuxedo Junction Jazz Band will feature; Greg Spaulding on piano, Miles Lang-bass, Freda Ramey – vocals, Norbert Tan – Drums, Milo Miller & Brandon Boyd – saxophone, and Scott Weiss – trumpet. This concert will feature popular Dixieland and Jazz songs from the thirties, forties, and fifties.
The musicians are donating their time to raise money for Music 4 Kids. The Ojai Pops Concert Series is sponsored by the City of Ojai and by Music 4 Kids, a California 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose goal is to provide low-cost music lessons, instruments, and free concerts. Donations are greatly appreciated. All donations will go to the Larry Weiss Scholarship Fund and will be given to students in need of private music lessons.
