2nd Fridays Art @ Santa Barbara Tennis Club

All things wings are represented in this theme show; things that take flight, birds, bats, insects, bugs, aircraft or its occupants, abstracts, fantasy and representational will all be accepted.

JUROR of AWARDS:

Stan Evenson

Stan Evenson earned his BFA in Advertising Design from Art Center College of Design in 1974. Immediately after graduation, he was hired by A&M Records to join their creative services department designing album covers and promotional materials. At the age of 24 he opened his own design agency, Evenson Design Group (EDG), serving as the Creative Director and CEO. For over four decades EDG developed marketing and branding campaigns for a myriad of domestic and international companies. He was honored to be included in the Album Cover Hall of Fame and has three design pieces in the Permanent Collection of the Library of Congress. Beginning in 2014, Stan transitioned from designer to fine artist, experimenting with paint and collage. He is currently a member of SBVA and a board member of SBSA. Stan’s work has been shown extensively in galleries throughout California and the Pacific Northwest.

ENTRY DEADLINE: November 24th.

NOTIFICATION BY: November 25th.

BEST OF SHOW: 3-Month Membership at the S B Tennis Club.

EXHIBIT DATES: December 7th – January 1st.

RECEPTION & AWARDS: December 13th, 4:30 – 6:00pm.

IN-GATHERING of accepted work: December 5th. 12:00-1:00pm

TAKE DOWN: January 2nd, 8:00 am – 10:am.

GUIDELINES FOR CONTEST:

•Gallery split: 60/40 – 60% to artist, 40% to gallery.

•All artwork must hang on the wall. No pedestal works will be accepted.

•Artwork may not exceed 28”x 28”x 10” deep, including framing.

•Image submissions – 72 DPI Jpeg. Please title JPEGs: your name, title, framed size and retail price.

•JPG’s emailed to, susantibbles@yahoo.com with Wings in the subject bar.

The PayPal invoice will follow your submissions.

•Entry Fee: $35 for first image, additional images may be submitted at $5 each, via Paypal.

It is not necessary to have a PayPal account. PayPal accepts credit cards.

GUIDELINES FOR ACCEPTED WORKS:

Art must be properly wired with picture wire, eye screws or D-rings. Saw-tooth brackets will NOT be accepted. Works that are not properly wired will be rejected at the in gathering.

All works shall be for sale. Standard Gallery splits: 60% artist 40% gallery.

Only quality frames will be accepted.

Giclee’s on canvas will not be accepted.
