“Nootka 1789: The History of an unknown Franciscan mission”

Friars from Mexico made their way to Vancouver Island in 1774 and established La Mission de Santa Cruz at Nootka, over 850 miles north of San Francisco.  Friars served at this far northern outpost for a number of years.  Come hear their fascinating story.
