ELEMENTAL ARTS AND SELAH DANCE COLLECTIVE PRESENT

Wildflowers

with a special prequel by Paper Doll Militia & Circus with Purpose

A story told through Aerial, Circus, and Dance
How do art & movement help us to grow?
Seen through the lens of aerial, circus, and dance arts.
Incredible Acts Featuring
Aerial • Silks • Lyra • Chains • Straps • Rope • Heart • Hammock • Duets • Contortion • Modern Dance • Hula Hoop • and so much more!
Join our artists as they navigate our bodies’ natural survival responses; fight, flight, freeze and fawn.
In the summertime, we roam through lush fields. But in the dry fall heat, a wildfire sweeps the landscape, leaving us scorched and barren. In the harsh winter we sift through of withering flowers.
But why do these emotions seem so negative? Even though we experience the same things, we process differently. We move and express in unique ways, to come to the same feeling and blossom into spring.
Over 40 artists from Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Vegas, & abroad come together to create a two hour theater show like no other.
*Special Guest Announcement!*
Prequel by Circus with Purpose and renown aerial theater pioneers, Paper Doll Militia. The debut of their new work “Homeostasis”
An aerial sculpture & performance piece fusing the visual design of Shibari with contemporary aerial arts. The apparatus is a large-scale visual interpretation of the human nervous system, constructed entirely with rope. This tree-like apparatus becomes an elaborate structure for aerial performers exploring dysregulation and resilience on personal and societal levels.
