The Santa Barbara Audubon Society presents “Why Are Some Birds So Colorful?: The Evolution of Avian Ornamentation.”  Using birds to illustrate, Steve Gaulin explains sexual selection, and why male birds in particular use flamboyant displays during courtship. And it’s a lot more than just, “size matters.”
