“Were you aware there’s a Psychedelic Social Club in Santa Barbara?” Carpinteria’s “citizen reporter” Larry Nimmer asks in his video dispatch from a recent event held at the club’s Gutierrez Street headquarters — “across from Office Max,” Nimmer wrly notes.
“The club, District 216, is about two years old,” Nimmer writes, and “they have weekly educational meetings about psychedelics with speakers, panel discussions and films. Their quarterly marquee events feature music, panel discussions and samples of micro-doses and cannabis. It’s all legal and above board.
“Cannabis and psychedelics have become business opportunities for many in the Santa Barbara area,” he continued, “and local vendors were featured at Saturday’s marquee event ‘Music & Psychedelics.'”
