Book Description “Of Love & Beer”
Of Love & Beer is a modern retelling of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. It tells the story of craft brewer Ellis Bourne, who is in need of a new business partner now that her current one has decided to retire. She vintner Dean Pembrook at a wedding, and overhears him saying something insulting about her, her business, and even her hometown. She considers herself a good judge of character and decides he’s got a bad one. When his friend decides to learn more about her business, Dean tags along in an effort to protect his friend from making a bad business decision. Pride and prejudice lead to lots of bad assumptions and decisions. A smooth talker, a sycophant, a know-it-all, and silly sisters add to the chaos. Can they overcome these things to see the potential love that’s there?
