Lompoc Chalks Community Event

Lompoc Airport will turn into an explosion of chalk art masterpieces, live music, public art, and community engagement October 20-22! Lompoc Chalks is a free community event that features arts and craft booths, local vendors, a fun Kid’s Corner with face painting and activities, fabulous food trucks, live stage entertainment, and of course, talented artists from near and far.

Friday night kicks off the weekend with a special Artist Meet & Greet from 5pm-8pm featuring the Food Truck Friday fleet and a live performance by the T Bone Ramblers playing from 5:30 – 7:30pm. Saturday and Sunday’s festivities are open to the public from 10am-5pm.

The main attraction of this three day celebration is the sidewalk/street chalk paintings that are created over the course of the weekend. Chalk artists begin their masterpieces early on Saturday morning, and the public is encouraged to watch their progress throughout the weekend.

While admission to the event is free, every dollar raised through sponsorships and direct donations benefits the Lompoc Theatre Project, and will be matched dollar for dollar by the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians thanks to their generous matching grant of $150,000. Business sponsorship packages range from $500-$5,000; and individual Square Sponsorships are available starting at $150. Square sponsors can provide their own artist or we can match you up with one!
