“Inspired by Light” is a captivating exhibit by Carrie Givens and Karen McGaw.
These artists unite their distinct styles in works that depict California’s central coast landscapes and fauna. Through their masterful use of their mediums; pastel, watercolor and oil; Karen and Carrie breathe life into their subjects. Carrie’s exquisite pastel paintings shimmer with ethereal luminescence, capturing the golden rays that dance upon rolling hills and rugged coastlines.
Meanwhile, Karen’s mesmerizing oil and watercolor skillfully captures the interplay of natural light, casting a spellbinding glow on her vibrant colorful paintings. Together, their collective works pay homage to the mesmerizing allure of California “Light” , inviting viewers on a sensory journey that immerses them in the rich tapestry of light and landscape.
