Experience the beauty and benefits of local land stewardship on a tour of Jalama Canyon Ranch, the White Buffalo Land Trust‘s Center for Regenerative Agriculture. This ranch serves as a living laboratory of regenerative agriculture and showcases climate-appropriate crop systems and holistic livestock management. Jesse Smith, the Director of Land Stewardship, will meet guests at the ranch’s base camp before leading the group on a short walking tour of this stunning property. You will learn about the many ecological sites that make up the ranch’s expansive 1,000 acres, including grasslands, vineyards, woodlands, and riparian creeks. At the end of the tour, you will relax at base camp under the trees with light bites and sips of Sandhi Wines.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to access the ranch and gain a hands-on understanding of how regenerative agriculture and holistic management can create a more sustainable ranch. To make the most of this experience, we recommend wearing comfortable shoes suitable for uneven terrain and bringing a hat to provide shade from the sun.
A portion of the proceeds from the Taste of Santa Barbara will benefit the Santa Barbara Culinary Experience in partnership with The Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts.
