Calling all wine and food lovers!
Join us Thursday, March 23rd at 5:30 pm for a tour of Mediterranean flavors with wines from the Anoia River Basin in Spain to wine from Sardinia, Sicily, Liguria and Puglia in Italy. Share platters of Mediterranean-inspired California cuisine at The Daisy Restaurant, on their heated outdoor patio.
As we sip and sup, Steve Wayne of Renegade Wines will educate us on what makes each wine region unique. Renegade Wines is one-stop shop for quality wines in Santa Barbara. Steve is a well-spring of information about wines and selects great wines from collectables to affordable. He offers local delivery service, custom wine ordering, wine tastings and over 3000 square feet of temperature & humidity controlled wine storage lockers for wine collectors. We’ve had several terrific Inside Wine SB events with Steve including past sold-out events with C’est Cheese seminars on wine & cheese pairing.
Chef Carmen of The Daisy uses farmer market fresh, seasonal ingredients to create her delicious dishes. Max reservations will be 25 attendees.
Reserve your spot today! No tickets at the door, you must have a reserved seat:

2020 Raventós i Blanc Conca del Riu Anoia Manuel Raventos, Spain
94 Points! — Vinous
Raventós i Blanc have been winegrowers since 1497 in a region that has grown wine for over 2,000 years. They farm biodynamically. “Their cava sees primary fermentation in stainless steel and secondary in bottle (zero dosage) followed by a minimum of 72 months lees aging. This is certainly among the finest sparkling wines produced in Spain and could stand toe-to-toe with the great classics of Champagne.”
2021 Donnafugata Sicilia Anthìlia
91 Points! — James Suckling
International Wine Review says: “Donnafugata is a family winery launched in 1983 by Giacomo and Gabriella Rallo whose family has been in the wine business more than a century. The winery is among Sicily’s leading producers.” This white blend of mostly Catarratto and Ansonica grapes has a fresh and fragrant bouquet with notes of stone fruit combined with hints of wildflowers. The vibrant palate showcases pear and apricot.
2021 Antonella Corda Vermentino di Sardegna
92 Points! — WinesCritic.com
Antonella Corda founded this estate in 2016 in Sardinia. Her organically grown Vermentino has a complex floral, herby nose and expressive white and yellow fruits on the elegantly refined palate.
2020 Ka Mancinè Rossese di Dolceacqua Beragna
The vineyards in this tiny family-owned estate are terraced and very steep. All work is done by hand. Rossese del Dolceacqua is a local grape grown in a very limited area on very old, low-yielding vines. The wine has a ruby red color with brilliant reflections. On the nose it offers aromas of red fruits and floral hints of rose and violet that intertwine with light notes of dark spices. The sip is agile and smooth, enhanced by a pleasant fruity taste that persists in the finish.
