Arrowsmith's Wine Bar
In the heart of Solvang of Santa Barbara County, CA, Arrowsmith’s Wine Bar are launching their first ever series of cultural events called Cultural Sundays, July 10th thru to October 16th from 5pm-7pm with free entry to those over 21 years of age.
If you’re looking for a way to while away your Sunday evenings before getting ready for the work week, come and spend a couple of hours listening to this week’s expert talk on subjects you didn’t know you’re interested in yet…
For instance, did you want to find out about How Soft Robots Could Save Your Life, how they are able to crawl down a person’s throat? Or to listen to a comedic TV writer talk about her experiences working on programs like Cheers? We also have The Other Side of The Smartphone, which explores how tiny sensors in our phones collect data and uses it without us knowing. The Science Behind Sexual Orientation explores how much we are in charge of who we choose as partners. There’s an exploration of Santa Barbara’s Film Heritage showing how local companies have been key players. Then there’s an artist’s talk on how filmmakers use color to change our emotions another on Obscene Hollywood: US History of Film Censorship. The Evolution of Sex asks the question: why don’t we just divide ourselves to reproduce? Also, The Wine Culture Wars, Why Believe in Moderation?, explores America’s stressful relationship with alcohol, and another talk looks at the new phenomenon, The Alchemy Of Visual Music. And there are even more talks to be confirmed.
This is going to be a very interesting summer…
