“An Invitation to Dance” by the Santa Ynez Valley Performing Arts Company.
In these performances, the Art of Dance is showcased in different styles: ballet, lyrical, jazz, hip-hop and tap. Each choreography was influenced by another art form such as painting, sculpture, photographs etc… leading the way with an “Homage to Edgar Degas.”
Each dancer is eagerly awaiting the opportunity to perform after two years shut down. The return to the High School Theater is an uplifting event for each of them involved.
For choreographers Sonia Ibarra Corona and Christine Fossemalle, “the Art of Dance has fed their soul” during the pandemic and we hope it will be the same for our audience.
