On Saturday, May 7, 2022, Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara will host a FREE community celebration to say a fond farewell to our Santa Barbara Center.
After 58 years at the site, we want to properly commemorate our past and celebrate our ongoing commitment to the community in new ways. The Santa Barbara Center provided nearly 60 years worth of empowering programming to multiple generations of girls in the Santa Barbara community.
Our celebration of the Center’s accomplishments will give everyone a chance to participate in Girls Inc. activities at this site for the final time – an opportunity many have longed for since the pandemic closed the center in March 2020.
We will be offering a day of family fun, food, and activities. Guests will have the opportunity to create a special Mother’s Day gift and to give the books from our library a good home.
