Collin Luria
Collin Edward Luria, age 35, passed away suddenly on January 11th at his home in Englewood, CO. He was born on May 26, 1986 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Parkersburg, WV to parents Robert and Cynthia (Pyles) Luria. Collin grew up in Goleta, CA, attending La Patera Elementary and Goleta Valley Jr. High schools. He was active in the theater program at Foothill High School in Henderson, NV where he graduated in 2004.
Collin worked his way up in the food & beverage industry, spending many years as barista, server and bartender before ultimately reaching the position of assistant manager at the Red Robin in Highlands Ranch, CO.
Collin was a deep, bright, and caring individual who developed a love for life and work. He was a student of the restaurant business and could capture an audience with his lively work stories. He had a wry sense of humor, an extensive knowledge of miscellany, and mentored countless friends and co-workers. He admired his managers at Applebee’s and Red Robin and was grateful for the opportunities afforded him during the last months of his life.
Collin had a lifelong interest in meteorology and current events. He loved road trips, collectibles, his Colorado pro teams, and having a good time. He was a caregiver—going above and beyond for those he loved.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Collin is survived by mother Cynthia of Denver, CO; father Robert of Santa Barbara, CA; and sister-in-law Sarah, brother Justin & nephew Levi of Lynnfield, MA.
