Everything’s Connected

Just one more reason why rents need to come down (“Murillo’s Swan Song,” Dec. 9) — when workers can’t afford to live here, they rent wherever it’s affordable. Voilà, we have traffic and more carbon being released into our overburdened atmosphere.

Who knew that pricey rentals contribute to climate change! Maybe not everywhere, but here in Santa Barbara most definitely.
