Undergraduate flutist Madison Kolkow will present a senior Bachelor of Music recital with pianist and UCSB faculty member Dr. Natasha Kislenko on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 4:30 pm in Karl Geiringer Hall on the UC Santa Barbara campus. The program will include works by Phillippe Gaubert, Sigfrid Karg-Elert, Paul Taffanel, and Sergei Prokofiev. Kolkow is a student of UC Santa Barbara Professor Jill Felber.
Free and open to the public.
Protocols for attending in-person Department of Music events
All patrons 12 years of age and older must show proof of being fully vaccinated* OR provide a negative COVID-19 medical test result (PCR or antigen) taken within 72 hours of the event. Over-the-counter or at-home tests will not be accepted. All patrons must also present a state-issued photo ID in addition to their proof of vaccination/negative test result (photo ID is not required for minors who are accompanied by an adult).
Masks are required in indoor spaces at all times, regardless of vaccination status. Patrons must bring and wear their own face coverings that fully cover both the nose and mouth. Masks are also strongly encouraged at outdoor venues, particularly where social distancing is not an option. Patrons may be asked to leave a venue if they are not adhering to Department of Music health and safety guidelines.
*“Fully vaccinated” means a final COVID-19 vaccine dose was administered at least 14 days prior to the event

About the Artist
Madison Kolkow is currently in her final quarter at UC Santa Barbara pursuing her BM in flute performance with Professor Jill Felber. Originally from San Diego, she began her studies with Tiffany Covell and Dr. Elena Yarritu. Madison has performed in masterclasses for flutists such as Amy Porter, Erika Peel, Sarah Jackson, Dr. Naomi Seidman, and Carol Joe. During her time at UCSB, Madison has enjoyed playing flute and piccolo with the University Chamber Orchestra, Opera Orchestra, and Wind Ensemble. In addition to her Bachelor of Music, Madison will also earn a Minor in Applied Psychology.
